When Halie found out we were moving to Colorado she was not too excited, to say the least. She was very happy with her life and her new found place in her kindergarten class. She has told us over and over again that she did not want to finish Kindergarten in Colorado, she just wanted to stay home and play with her dolls. Austin would be her best friend. We knew that she would adjust just fine and would fit in, in no time. Well she was pretty consistent with her boycott of the new school all the way up until the moment we went to meet her new teacher the day before school started.
She didn't even want to go with me then. But, once she saw Mrs. Ensign for the first time, her eyes lit up and she didn't want to leave. After spending about 30 minutes in her new class, seeing all the fun things she was going to be doing, she was hooked. I had to drag her out of the classroom and all she could talk about after that was going to school. We are 4 days into her new semester and she is doing great!
